Creative Counselling
About Me
I obtained my diploma in humanistic counselling from Guildford College in April 2000. The main models of the course were person-centred, Gestalt and existential and there was a focus on creative and experiential work. I have also attended workshops on brief solution-focussed therapy; supervision for play therapy; and sexual minorities therapy.
I worked as a volunteer counsellor for a local bereavement service from 1997 to 2005.
From 2001 until 2007, I worked in a primary school for a charity that offers emotional and therapeutic support to children. I assessed children for counselling, in collaboration with their teachers and parents, and supervised the work of volunteer counsellors. I also offered brief appointments to children who referred themselves and worked with children in groups.
I am not currently seeing clients due to health issues.
